I asked so many questions as a child that my brother teased me I’d grow up to be a newspaper reporter. While that didn’t happen, I did put my inquisitive nature to work in the communications arena—first at

Evanston-based Rotary International, then in business with a graphic design partner, and now as head of Virgo Words.

In my 21 years as a writer/editor, I’ve helped dozens of organizations and businesses drill down to their most essential and effective messages. I’ve crafted creative marketing copy. And as a quintessential Virgo, I’ve ensured that their communications are well-structured, clear and accurate.

But writing and editing doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I thrive on collaborating closely with clients to understand and advance their missions. From a product sell sheet to a conference program, I’m game for any challenge.

What else am I game for? Strong cappuccinos, humid summer days, baking almost anything and concerts at Millennium Park. A longtime swimmer, I can be found many mornings at the YMCA pool or the Evanston lakefront—blocks from the home I share with my husband and two cats.
